‘Italy museum archived 200 Iran films’

President of the National Museum of Cinema in Turin says Italian motion picture center preserves a collection of 200 movies hailing from Iran.

Sergio Toffetti who recently visited the Cinema Museum of Iran in Tehran said the archived collection embodies works by the likes of Iran directors Nasser Taghvai and Amir Naderi.

Toffetti has paid visit to Iran for a five-day session on the Italian neorealist cinema that opened at the Film Museum of Iran on Thursday.

Italian neorealism is a national film movement that is characterized by stories set among the poor and the working class.

Toffetti also met director of Iran Cinema Museum Alireza Qasemkhan following his visit to the various sections of the museum.
